Service

My service is grounded in a commitment to collaboration with educators, institutions, and professional organizations to support justice-oriented social studies education. I engage in service across national, institutional, and community contexts, with a focus on strengthening connections between research, teacher education, and classroom practice.

• Serve as a reviewer for national conferences and organizations, including NCSS-CUFA and the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES)

• Review manuscripts for journals such as Theory and Research in Social Education, Journal of Social Studies Research, and the Iowa Journal of the Social Studies

• Contribute to assessment development through collaboration with ETS

• Serve on the Graduate Education Advisory Committee at UW–Madison

• Co-organized the Graduate Research Symposium at Indiana University

• Member of the Undergraduate Scholarship Committee at Indiana University

• Program Assistant of international learning experience to Northern Ireland for in-service teachers at Indiana University

• Participate as a Civic Partner with Mikva Challenge's Project Soapbox providing meaningful feedback to students' speeches

• Board Member, Indiana Council for the Social Studies

• Collaborated with the Indiana Department of Education on assessment development
