Frequently Asked Questions
The Basics: How Travel Agents Work
What is the benefit of using a travel advisor vs. booking myself?
Online engines give you prices; I give you expertise and advocacy. I spend the hours researching, vetting suppliers, and monitoring your reservations so you don't have to. If a cruise is canceled or a hotel loses a booking, you call me—not a 1-800 number.
Do you charge a professional planning fee?
My goal is to provide a seamless, high-value experience. While many of my services are covered by supplier commissions, complex or highly customized itineraries may involve a professional planning fee to cover the extensive research and coordination required.
Are you a registered and insured professional?
Yes. I operate under the Love Travel Collection (IATA #00398812), ensuring all bookings are handled through secure, industry-standard channels.
Planning Your Trip
Do you specialize in specific destinations or brands?
I focus on immersive experiences. My primary expertise lies in Disney Destinations (including international parks and Aulani), River and Ocean Cruises (such as AmaWaterways, Viking and Virgin Voyages), and international tours.
Can you help with large groups or multi-generational families?
Absolutely. Coordinating different ages, budgets, and dietary needs is a specialty. I handle the group contracts and logistics so everyone can simply enjoy the trip.
What if I find a lower price online?
The "lowest price" often comes with hidden trade-offs, like non-refundable status or lack of amenities. I look at the total value, sometimes securing perks like room upgrades, breakfast credits, or onboard ship credit that you won't find on public booking sites.
During & After Travel
What happens if there is an emergency while I’m away?
I provide "Duty of Care" for all my clients. You will have a direct way to reach me or my support team to handle rebookings, logistics, or local adjustments in real-time.
