"Marc Weaver is a phenomenal theatre educator. His natural ability to connect with students, coupled with his extensive knowledge of theatre, creates a dynamic and engaging learning environment. He consistently engineers extraordinary theatrical experiences, ensuring students walk away with memories that will last a lifetime."
-David Wright, Former Assistant Fine Arts Director of Keller ISD, Current Fine Arts Director of Azle ISD
"During his time with us as a theater teacher, Mr. Weaver has worked to expand student participation by encouraging our 5th and 6th grade students to become involved in larger productions. His efforts have helped create more opportunities for students to develop their interest in the performing arts. Mr. Weaver has also dedicated considerable time outside of classroom instruction to supporting the success of our productions. He has taken the initiative in involving parents to support various aspects of our performances. Throughout his time at our school, Mr. Weaver has shown a willingness to accept feedback and collaborate with administration. His openness to growth and teamwork has been appreciated. Mr. Weaver would bring useful experience and commitment to any fine arts program."
-Jaylene Mullinax, Assistant Principal at Indian Springs Middle School
"From day one, Marc poured his energy into creating a welcoming and engaging learning environment where students felt confident expressing themselves. He has a natural ability to connect with children, helping them build self-esteem both on and off the stage. His creativity and enthusiasm have brought the magic of theater to life at our school, and his impact on his students is undeniable."
- Lori Strom, Assistant Principal at Indpendence Elementary School
"Marc has been our daughter’s theater teacher for two years now. When our daughter first entered middle school as a 5th grader, she was timid and unsure. At home we knew she was capable of entertaining a crowd, but at school she needed to feel comfortable and supported in order for her to really let loose and get into a character. Marc was instrumental in helping our daughter get out of her comfort zone and trust herself, and after a year and a half of working with Marc, our daughter felt ready to take on a bigger role. He demonstrated his confidence in her by casting her as the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz and Willy Wonka in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and she was honored and thrilled at the opportunity. As her parents, we were absolutely blown away as we watched her shine in both roles–she was magnetic! To say we were shocked and so proud of her growth over the last two years, her budding ability to memorize lines with ease, make characters her own and captivate the audience, is an understatement. We will be forever grateful for Marc’s dedication to teaching and his positive, lasting impact in our lives–he saw our timid daughter’s ability and provided an environment to foster her talent and absolute love for acting."
-Matthew and Erin Burton
"I am forever grateful for the role that Marc Weaver has had in my children’s lives. He is a dedicated teacher who time and time again goes above and beyond. My oldest son loves musical theater, and Mr. Weaver pushed him to develop his skills. Because of Mr. Weaver being willing to tell my son where his weaknesses were and suggesting what actions to take to improve, my son has been able to have larger parts in shows. I have interacted with other parents from the middle/intermediate school, and they constantly talk about how amazing he is and how he’s impacted their child. I have constantly been in awe of every production I’ve seen him direct. He is a master at his craft, but more importantly he makes connections with his students to help them succeed."
-Angela Chadwick (Frozen KIDS)
"We moved here to Texas over the summer and this has been my son's first experience with Theatre class. Mr. Weaver began the year by sending the parents a questionnaire to get to know the students better and share any information that may be helpful for him while teaching our child. I thought this was a very considerate and thoughtful gesture. A few weeks into the year he took the time to email us directly to let us know how well our son was doing in his class and that he enjoyed having him and hoped he would continue with theatre in the future. Again, he went out of his way to reach out to us which put a big smile on our faces to hear how things were going for him. Lastly, the time, effort and enthusiasm he put into the 5th graders' performance of 'Totally Red' was admirable! I am sure it was challenging and tiring but he kept it fun and motivated them to get out there and put on a great show! Mr. Weaver and the Theatre program have been a bright light for my son so far this year. Thank you!

"The work and efforts that all the students put into this show was fantastic and top notch. We truly appreciate the directors, the parent volunteers and everyone that is involved in putting on such a monstrous task as a school musical involving this many students. Brava to a quality production where the vocals were at the highest levels they have been, the students were connected & stayed in character the majority of the show and the final production was overall the best yet.

"The show itself was FABULOUS - honestly could not have been more proud of my student and the final result. This year we had clear communication on expectations on the rehearsal schedule, and expectations of the students and everything just seemed to very well organized. I GREATLY appreciate this and I am thankful for both Mr. Weaver and Mrs. Powell! Well done!!!!! Overall, my student really feels supported and encouraged by both teachers. They both keep a good balance of fun and authority figures, which is not always easy to do. Excited already about the next 3 years!"
