MARC WEAVER is a passionate and accomplished Theatre Educator, Director, and Designer based in Fort Worth, TX, with five years of teaching experience and a strong commitment to fostering creativity, collaboration, and excellence in young performers. Currently, he teaches 5th-6th Grade Theatre at Indian Springs Middle School, having previously spent three years at Independence Elementary, where he developed engaging theatre programs focused on performance skills, teamwork, and artistic expression.
Marc holds a B.A. in Theatre from Denison University and brings a well-rounded background in both educational and professional theatre. Before joining Keller ISD, he served as the Theatre Education Director at Weathervane Playhouse in Columbus, OH, where he gained extensive experience as a director, stage manager, designer, and teaching artist. He has also collaborated with renowned organizations such as Available Light Theatre, Children’s Theatre Company, and Casa Mañana, further enriching his expertise in both professional and educational theatre.
Under Marc’s leadership, his students have achieved remarkable success. His production of The Miracle Worker placed 2nd at the Keller ISD Middle School One-Act Play Contest—the school's first placement in five years—earning multiple acting awards, including Best Performer in Macbeth . He has coached three winning finalists in the Stage West Neighborhood Play Contest, mentored a finalist in the Keller SHAKE Competition, and directed the Intermediate/Middle School Musical Number for the Kelley Awards for two consecutive years.
Marc’s favorite directing credits include Beauty and the Beast Jr., The Drowsy Chaperone (nominated for a Theatre Roundtable Excellence Award), The Laramie Project, and Frozen KIDS.
Dedicated to providing students with meaningful performance opportunities, Marc fosters an environment that nurtures creativity, confidence, and community through the transformative power of theatre.
