Marcos Delprato is a research associate at the Instituto de Investigaciones Educativas (IIE) of the Universidad Nacional de Chilecito (Argentina). His research falls into the field of education and international development (EID), with a focus on Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa. Previously, he worked at the Centre for International Education (University of Sussex), the REAL Centre (University of Cambridge), and the Global Education Monitoring Report (UNESCO). His empirical research has highlighted different sources of educational inequalities related to early marriage and gender, wealth and school violence impacts on learning, Indigenous discrimination in education systems, private-public school learning gaps, efficiency analysis of secondary education systems, early warning systems to prevent dropouts, spatial education inequalities and the impact of climate change on educational outcomes.
