Concepción, Chile

Concepción is a city in the South of Chile founded in 1550. During the colonial era, it was the boundary between Spanish territory and the land of the Mapuche. Later, Concepción hosted the Declaration of Independence on its main square. Is a known college town in Chile. 

The Metropolitan Area of Concepcion has a population of near 1,00,000. Concepción is also the home town of the University of Concepción (UdeC).

Universidad de Concepción Campus

Universidad de Concepción was founded on May 14, 1919 and is one of the most prestigious university in the country. It was created by the people of Concepcion and it was the first University to exist outside Santiago. Its campus was declared National Heritage in 2016.
