Data and Documents

The data used to compute MAQI come from a unique, newly assembled dataset containing rich information about Italian municipalities. MAQI refers to 7,716 municipalities, for the period 2001-2024.

We have used the Istat statistical codes of territorial administrative units updated to 2024 (7,896 municipalities). 

The paper and the methodological note specify the methodology employed.
