Computer Education

The classroom teacher and the computer teacher plan curriculum-tied projects and teach together in the computer lab. Projects include: word processing (poems, dialogue, essays, reports, brochures), math (spreadsheets, graphing, math skills practice, curriculum-tied software), publishing (desktop publishing, flyers, bookmarks, web), presentations (Google Slides), drawing (diagrams, letter sounds, graphs, image manipulation, venn diagrams) and much, much more.

Type to Learn

Maplewood has purchased Type to Learn for student use at school and at home. Students in grades 3-5 are receiving instruction in the computer lab and students can use it at home to improve their keyboarding skills. Visit https://www.typetolearn.com/login/index.php The school account number is 151854 and students should know their username and password. Please encourage use of this program at home.
