Contactless Infrared Thermometer

In the COVID-19 pandemic, it has become necessary to observe social distancing. Moreover, frequent temperature checks need to be conducted to identify possible symptoms/ infection.

So, I designed a Contactless Infrared Thermometer that is a safe and cost-effective method to detect body temperature in this pandemic. Upon pressing the button, it activates the MLX 90614 temperature sensor which detects the temperature of the human body near it using Infrared Rays and further displays it on the OLED screen.

When the button is pressed, the sensor gets activated and passes the information to the Arduino which further displays it on the OLED. My code controls the input from the sensor and displays it on the OLED screen in the desired format. We can further develop this system by linking it to a Bluetooth module. That way, an app can be made to keep track of the verified v/s suspicious persons.
