Progressing Through the Judging Ranks

It isn't only our riders who have been progressing this summer.  Developing coaches, judges and officials is an important part of strengthening equestrian sport on the Island too, and we were delighted to see another significant achievement for James Mister.

James recently received confirmation that he has passed his British Dressage List 3A Judges exam, maintaining what he describes as his “first time pass” streak.

Already well known within Manx equestrian sport as a rider and coach, James has continued to develop his judging alongside his own riding and coaching commitments. He credits the mentoring and opportunities he has received along the way, as well as the support of fellow judges, mentors, venues, organisers and competitors.

And he isn't stopping there. The next goal is to begin working towards his PSG judging exam, while continuing to learn, improve and enjoy what he describes as:

“Keep improving, and keep enjoying the privilege of judging our sport.”

Congratulations James – a fantastic achievement, and another valuable addition to the knowledge and experience available within Manx equestrian sport.
