Manuel Lancastre is an Associate Professor of the Practice at Boston College Carroll School of Management. He has held teaching positions at Brown University, and the University of Lisbon Technical Institute. He has over 30 years of consulting, management, entrepreneurial and academic experience, combined with a relevant political curriculum. He served as Secretary of State of Economy in the Government of Portugal, and as Head of Mission for the Portuguese Public Administration Reform. He was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company. He served as CEO, Executive Board member, and held other advisory roles in publicly listed companies. He has been an entrepreneur and investor in the renewable energy and biofuels sector. Manuel holds a PhD in Economics from the Nova School of Business and Economics, a Master of Business and Administration from INSEAD, and an MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
