Teaching Philosophy
I have always believed that teaching is a partnership between professor and student. A huge part of that for me as an educator is reacting to the mood of the class and possibly changing the way one explains the topic. What I enjoy most about this is I get to build and expand my repertoire of different ways to teach a concept. This is part of a much bigger goal of mine to make all my students feel more confident in their mathematical abilities.
Student's Comments:
"All around, I appreciated this class and what it had to offer me. Whenever I was confused, this class has ALWAYS helped me understand what we learned. Thanks Manny"
"Manny was one of the best math teachers I've ever had."
"I appreciate how available Manny was for extra help and how willing he was to answer questions during class. The class was a good learning environment. I appreciated the time and effort he put into teaching the discussion section."
"I just wanted to say, math is not my favorite subject and I give credit to you for making the topics seem less challenging. You really helped my understanding, and I hope you keep helping other students as much as you did to me."
