We Wish You a Jazzy Christmas—Featuring The Artistic Jazz Orchestra

The magnificent Artistic Jazz Orchestra (AJO) returns to bring a sparkling night of jazz and holiday spirit to the Renaissance Theatre on Saturday, December 2nd at 7:30 PM as they present “We Wish You a Jazzy Christmas!” Led by artistic director/founder Paul Martin, the jazz orchestra is joined by their fabulous vocalist Kelly Knowlton, a spectacular vocal ensemble, dancers from the Richland Academy of the Arts, and some magical Christmas surprises.

Get ready for the magic of the holiday season like never before with a unique retelling of the classic holiday tale “A Christmas Carol.” This one-person show brings the story to life in a virtuosic performance that will leave you spellbound. Featuring audience-favorite Angela Iannone (most recently seen onstage at the Renaissance in Follies), you will be transported to the timeless world of Scrooge, haunting spirits, and redemption.

Richland Academy dancers will bring Richland County its most celebrated holiday tradition with its sixth annual production of The Nutcracker Ballet. We are excited to be performing at the beautiful Renaissance Theatre for this holiday tradition. A wonderful ballet for the entire family, The Nutcracker is the perfect way to introduce young children to the power and beauty of classical dance. Tchaikovsky's magical score, with fairytale scenery, and vibrantly theatrical staging will deliver what is sure to be a stunning production of The Nutcracker!

The mission of the Mansfield Symphony Orchestra is to provide a quality symphonic experience that engages musicians, patrons, and youth alike. In this fresh, fun and lively adaptation of A Christmas Carol, you’ll meet Mr. Bentley, learn about the letters Scrooge wrote to his sister Fan, and find out who Mr. Newbury is. You’ll still find all the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future along with Tiny Tim, Bob Cratchit, the Ghost of Jacob Marley, Old Fezziwig, Scrooge’s nephew Fred, and the love of Scrooge’s life, Belle. There are some new scary bits, a few good laughs, a tender moment or two, and some surprises! It’s a fresh take on an old tale sure to thrill young and old alike.

Literati & Open Mic Night

Literati & Open Mic Night - “In Spirit of Hope” - Friday December 1st, 2023  -  Literati will be hosted on Friday,  December 1st at 8pm, with doors opening at 7:30pm at Mankind Murals Studio.  Come share the spoken word  and listen to local literature and creative writing.  The theme for December is ‘In Spirit of Hope’.   Literary spiderwebs and spoken word content outside the theme can also be read and performed at the end during the open mic.  Bring your own beverage, poem, story, scene, and spooky spoken word.
