On Saturday, May 18th 2024, at approximately 7:30am Manuel Mercado was killed in a double hit and run accident while driving to work on his motorcycle when a white F150 pickup truck ran a red light knocking him off his bike and into traffic. The accident happened in Lincoln Heights at the corner of N Broadway and S Ave 20.
The driver of that truck (photo here) still has not been found. This website has been created to share updates, gather tips and rally a community of voices to demand justice for Manny.
