Manuel Mercado

June 1, 1974 — May 18, 2024

Manuel Mercado, 49 of Los Angeles CA was taken from us far too soon in a tragic double hit and run motorcycle accident while on his way to work the morning of May 18, 2024.

He was a licensed MFT. In 1996 he graduated from Pitzer College with a BA in Psychology and later went on to earn a MA in Psychology from Pepperdine University in 1999.

Manny's gift was helping people. Throughout his life and career, he touched the lives of countless individuals as only he could, with his signatory style of grace and humor. Whether it was a person in crisis or the wayward stray cat, racoon or possum - no creature was too small or too undeserving to turn away. 

 He was born on June 1, 1974, in Loma Linda, CA to parents, Sylvia and Mike Mercado. He is preceded in death by his father Mike Mercado and his beloved pet pug Olivia (October 19, 2023) He is survived by his mother Sylvia Mercado, His brother Peter Mercado and his devoted partner of 13 years Debra Mitzella Brenda. 

 Manny lived his life with the style and flair of an artist, the heart of an adventurer and the soul of a shaman. His wisdom, humor and love will forever live on in all those he has touched.
