Dr. Mohammad Zashim Uddin has been working as a Professor since 2013 in the Department of Botany, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh and supervised 36 MS research students and one Ph. D. Researcher and presently guiding two M. Phil. and two MS research students . He teaches Plant Taxonomy, Ethnobotany and Conservation Biology of tropical biodiversity. By this time, he has been published 80 research articles/books/book parts in different national and international scientific journals. His Research Gate (RG) point is 23.19, research reads 32364 and citations 924. Currently Dr. Zashim has been served as a General Secretary of Bangladesh Association of Plant Taxonomists, Treasurer and editorial board member of Bangladesh Botanical Society and journal, and Convener of Bangladesh Botany Olympiad. He is also advisory committee member of Nature and Life Foundation of Channel i (Popular Television Channel). Apart from his research, Dr. Zashim involved with many scientific affiliated bodies nationally and internationally. He has been promoted biodiversity conservation in Bangladesh through electronic media (popular television programs) and also in social media (Biodiversity Conservation Initiatives and Facebook posting). His research interests are forest management, traditional ethnobotanical knowledge for healthcare, and biodiversity conservation

Dr. Mohammad Nurul Islam joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Botany, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2003. He is now professor and Director of this department. He is supervising many MS research students and guiding M. Phil. students. His research interest area are Plant Molecular Biology, Molecular Breeding on the development of Yellow Mosaic Virus resistant Mungbean lines and Tomato Leaf Curl Virus resistant Tomato Plants using antiviral strategy and Molecular Breeding and study of Lotus Germplasm. He is an active member of Bangladesh Association for Plant Tissue Culture and Biotechnology, Global Network of Bangladeshi Biotechnologist (GNOBB), Bangladesh Bioinformatics and Computational Biology Association, Bangladesh Biosafety and Biosecurity Association and Bangladesh Botanical Society. He has many publications with renowned scientists. He has been awarded ISRF fellowship, Post doctoral fellowship, Ph.D Scholarship, NST fellowship etc. He is also Adjunct Faculty member of East West University, Bangladesh.

Dr. Mohammad Azmal Hossain Bhuiyan is an excellent teacher, researcher, and academician. Currently, he has been serving as a Professor in Botany, University of Dhaka. He obtained his Ph.D. degree with President Award from the Graduate School of Engineering and Science, Faculty of Science, University of the Ryukyus, Japan. During his Ph. D. research entitled "Taxonomy and molecular phylogeny of some isolates of the genus Pyramimonas (microalgae) from the Ryukyu Archipelago, Japan", he isolated 41 new strains of Pyramimonas sp. from the Pacific Ocean and China Sea from 2012 to 2015. He described a big number of strains of Pyramiomnas sp. with molecular pieces of evidence, electron microscopy, phylogenetic bases for the first time in the world. That was the first and biggest sampling on Pyramimonas sp. so far in world perspectives. He already discovered a new microalga named Pyramimonas vacuolata and published in famous international journal Phycologia published from the USA and some other new species are in the processes to publish from his researches. Recently, for the very first time, he has introduced a course named 'Molecular and Applied Phycology" in Bangladesh.
