The Translational Research Centre for Digital Mental Health
The Translational Research Centre for Digital Mental Health (TRC-DMH) aims to strengthen protective factors and reduce risk factors in mental health through innovation, research, and community programmes.
The centre's new visual identity uses the rhombus pattern to highlight the integration of digital technology with real-world experience while symbolizing the connection between preventative mental health care, individual well-being, and community support.
The Digital Buddy App and e-Learning Platform were developed in 2023 as part of the Digital Buddy Programme for Older Adults. The app features over 70 accessible teaching videos focused on mental health and digital literacy, tailored specifically for older adults.
More than 1,000 participants took part in the project, with research findings showing significant improvements in mental well-being and a reduction in depressive symptoms after training.
The user interface was thoughtfully designed to be simple and minimal, ensuring ease of use and accessibility for older adults. The app is available for free download on the App Store and Google Play Store.
