Mandy Ellis is first and foremost a wife and mother that has a passion for teaching and learning that is manifested in her job as a principal and lead learner.
She has served as a special education teacher in grades K-7 and most currently serves as an elementary school principal and lead learner at Dunlap Grade School in Dunlap Community Unit School District #323.
Mandy graduated from Bradley University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education, a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration.
Mandy has been recognized with several accolades that reaffirm her commitment and dedication to education and leadership. Shen’s been named a “25 Women in Leadership,” “Ten Outstanding Young People in Illinois,” and “40 Leaders Under 40.” She’s earned the Bradley University Graduate Student Leadership and Service Award and the Illinois Principals Association Herman Graves Service Award 2018.
Her biggest accomplishment is her family. She is the proud wife of Brett and mom to Lydia and Lauren. They spend their time “Playing in Peoria” and cheering on the Bradley Braves and Iowa Hawkeyes!
