Comprised of many members that already have their own individual side projects with wildly different origins like rap, emo, jazz, and hard rock,Butane strikes a balance between all these inspirations and talents to create their own unique sound while maintaing traditonal indie roots. From washed-out chorus filled guitars, to rapped verses, to blazing guitar solos, to blunt emotional lyrics, Butane has it all.
Genre: Progressive Rock
Stevens Members: Evan Sheppard (M&T '25)
Funhouse Mirrors is a group gaining traction in North Jersey with their unique style of progressive rock. Founded in 2019, Funhouse Mirrors blends the technicality, experimentation, and theatrics of classic prog bands like Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, and King Crimson with the aggression and atmosphere of 90s/2000s alternative/indie bands like Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, and early Incubus. Their versatile lyric writing not only ranges from social commentaries to Zappa-esque satire, it also mixes them together! Consisting of Johnny Weiner (vocals, guitar), Evan Sheppard (vocals, drums), Dan Centeno (vocals, keys), and Jackson Gray (vocals, bass), the group performs energetic shows that bring momentum and excitement to their crowds. By bringing their impractical musical ideas to life, Funhouse Mirrors is revitalizing progressive rock for newer generations.

Post-boyband See Plus has been contributing noisy indie pop to the New Jersey scene since 2016. An amalgamation of chaos and suburbia, the Garden State’s “favorite rising foursome” (The Aquarian Weekly) creates music that makes audiences dance like babies - stomping, writhing and jumping until they burst into tears (just to do it all over again). See Plus wields the power of a loving home crowd to defeat bad guys and make friends along the way, all while making frequent stops to play several sold-out shows year in and year out.
