Mandala Coloring Book: Zen Art ("Mandala Zen", "the app", "we") is made by an independent developer. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions: inkspire.support.2026@gmail.com
The short version
The app needs an anonymous account so your colorings can be saved and synced. We collect anonymous usage statistics to understand which parts of the app people use. We do not sell your data, we do not show ads, we do not use third-party advertising networks, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect
An anonymous account (required). On first launch the app creates an anonymous account through Google Firebase Authentication. This is a random identifier — it contains no name, email address, or phone number. It exists so your artwork can be saved and restored.
Account details, only if you choose to sign in. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your display name, your email address, and — if you set one — a profile photo. Sign in with Apple lets you hide your real address using Apple's private relay, and that works fine with this app. Signing in is optional; it exists so your gallery survives losing or changing your device.
Your artwork. The pieces you colour, and the colours you place, are stored against your account identifier so they sync between your devices. If you vote in the Studio or tap "Join as an artist", that choice is stored against the same identifier.
Your free-coloring count. The app allows a limited number of free colorings before a membership is required. To count them, we store a randomly generated identifier in your device's keychain along with a record of which pieces you have unlocked. This identifier is not linked to your name or email address.
Purchases. Memberships are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify your receipt and confirm your membership status. We receive your subscription status, product purchased, and transaction identifiers. We never receive or store your payment card details — Apple handles payment entirely.
Usage analytics. To understand how the app is used and where people get stuck, we record app events using Mixpanel. These events describe actions, not people — for example: onboarding finished, a piece opened, a coloring completed, the membership screen shown, a purchase started or completed, a video opened. Each event carries context such as your membership status (free or member), whether you are signed in, your app version, and how many free colorings remain.
Mixpanel identifies your installation by a random identifier generated on your device. We do not send Mixpanel your name, your email address, or your account identifier. Google Analytics for Firebase is present in the app but switched off; it collects nothing.
Photos. If you save artwork to your photo library, the app requests add-only permission. The app can add images; it cannot read, browse, or access photos already in your library.
Notifications. If you begin a free trial, the app can schedule a local reminder before it ends. This is generated on your device and requires your permission. We do not send marketing pushes today.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your precise location, contacts, calendar, health data, biometric data, browsing history, or messages. We do not use advertising identifiers. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we do not share data with data brokers.
Why we collect it
To provide the app's core features (saving and syncing your artwork); to operate memberships and honour free colorings; to understand which features are used and where the experience breaks, so it can be improved; and to respond when you contact support.
Who processes your data
- Google (Firebase) — authentication, artwork storage, analytics
- RevenueCat — membership and receipt verification
- Apple — payment processing and app distribution
- Mixpanel — anonymous usage analytics
Each acts as a service provider under contract and is not permitted to use your data for its own purposes. Their servers are located in the United States, so if you use the app from outside the United States your data will be transferred there under standard contractual protections.
How long we keep it
Your artwork and account data are kept while your account exists. Analytics events are retained for up to 12 months. Purchase records are retained as long as required for tax and accounting obligations.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and all of your saved artwork from inside the app: Settings → your profile → Delete Account. This is permanent and immediate. You can also email inkspire.support.2026@gmail.com and we will delete your data within 30 days.
Note that deleting the app alone does not delete your account — your session is stored in your device keychain and survives reinstalling. Use the in-app deletion above.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EU or UK, this includes your rights under the GDPR; if you are in California, your rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Email inkspire.support.2026@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights.
Children
This app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, note it in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
