Welcome to the Media Center
Our Mission
The mission of the Manchester Elementary School's library program is to foster a love of reading, encourage self-motivated lifelong learning, and to empower students to be critical thinkers, effective and ethical users and producers of ideas and information. The Library Media Center strives to be an open and engaging space for students to explore, create, collaborate and grow.
Academic Integrity
The library promotes the ethical use of resources and teaches respect for Intellectual Property. According to the World Intellectual Property Organization, Intellectual Property refers to creations of the mind, such as inventions; literary and artistic works; designs; and symbols, names, and images used in commerce. This respect is fundamental to the values, integrity, honesty, and academic integrity of each student. Students should provide proper citations and references when using information from sources and avoid plagiarism.
