Manasvini Chengavalli is a rising junior at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton. She began her Bharatanatyam journey at the age of seven under the guidance of Smt. Indumathy Ganesh, Artistic Director of Nrithyollasa Dance Academy, and continued her training under Smt. Vaishali Ramachandran.

Over the years, with the blessings and guidance of her gurus, Manasvini has developed a deep appreciation for the art form and has had the privilege of performing at several temples, cultural events, and dance festivals across the Bay Area. She has been an integral part of Dayananda Kalalayam’s annual dance festival, Natyodaya, since its inception, and has grown as one of the senior dancers of the institution, participating in various productions and collaborative performances. She has also participated in several dance competitions as part of her dance school team, where their performances have won them prizes. 

Beyond her own journey as a performer, Manasvini has embraced the responsibility of contributing to the learning environment around her. As a senior student and teacher’s assistant, she assists in rehearsals, supports younger students, and shares her knowledge with patience and encouragement under the guidance of her teachers. Her love for communication and storytelling has also led her to actively contribute to dance productions through emceeing, developing program content, and assisting with event coordination, including Arangetrams.
