How Much Beef Will I Receive?
Processed beef is approximately 45–55% of live weight, although the final amount will vary by animal and by your processing selections.
Using the same 1,200 lb. steer:
1,200 lbs. live weight = approximately 600 lbs. processed beef
Half: approximately 300 lbs.
Quarter: approximately 150 lbs.

Processing
All beef will be processed at Donald’s Meat Processing in Lexington, Virginia.
Processing is $1/lb.* for vacuum sealing. Customers select their cuts and packaging preferences through the processor.
