Title: The isomorphism problem for \ell^1-crossed products
Abstract: Given an action $G\curvearrowright X$ of a discrete group $G$ on a compact Hausdorff space $X$, it is natural to consider the convolution algebra $\ell^1(G\curvearrowright X)$, whose underlying Banach space is $\ell^1(G,C(X))$, and where multiplication is (twisted) convolution. Recent works of de Jeu-Tomiyama and of Roland show that this Banach algebra encodes more information than the more widely studied C*-algebraic crossed product $C(X)\rtimes G$, which is the completion of $\ell^1(G\curvearrowright X)$ with respect to covariant representations on Hilbert spaces. In this talk, which is based on joint work with Tabare Roland, I will discuss the isomorphism problem for such \ell^1-algebras, trying to give an answer to the following question: what can be said about two dynamical systems $G\curvearrowright X$ and $H\curvearrowright Y$ if there is an isometric isomorphism $\ell^1(G\curvearrowright X)\cong \ell^1(H\curvearrowright Y)$?

Title: Sharp quantization of complex projective spaces
Abstract: The framework of Berezin-Toeplitz quantization is a popular approach in the quantization of Kähler manifolds, which brings together geometric and representation-theoretic considerations. It is the non-flat analogue of the anti-Wick quantization scheme. In this talk, I will introduce some fundamental concepts in the theory of BT quantization, and explain how they can be obtained from a representation-theoretic approach. I will then present recent work with B. Ruba and J. P. Solovej on the particular case of complex projective spaces. These are the homogeneous spaces associated with the symmetric representations of SU(d), and their rich symmetry allows for a particularly explicit analysis. I will explain how to get sharp asymptotic expansions of the product of Toeplitz operators and introduce an interesting notion of positivity of the remainder in these expansions.

Title: Generalised matrix Calogero–Moser operators from Cherednik algebras
Abstract: The Calogero–Moser integrable model describes a physical system of interacting particles on a line (rational case) or a circle (trigonometric case) with an inverse-square distance pairwise potential. This potential is naturally associated with the root system of type A. Integrable versions of this model for arbitrary root systems were introduced by Olshanetsky and Perelomov. It was discovered by Chalykh, Feigin, and Veselov that, in the quantum case, there exist integrable generalisations for some configurations of vectors that are not root systems. The Hamiltonians of these quantum systems are Schrödinger operators whose potentials have singularities along hyperplanes determined by the given configuration of vectors. These ‘generalised Calogero–Moser operators’ were studied in the rational case with the use of rational Cherednik algebras by Feigin. A matrix version (for particles with spin internal degrees of freedom) of the quantum Calogero–Moser model appeared in the work of Ha and Haldane, and a matrix version of the Olshanetsky–Perelomov operators was considered by Cherednik. First examples of integrable matrix Calogero–Moser type operators associated with non-symmetric configurations of vectors were found by Chalykh, Goncharenko, and Veselov. In this talk, I will show how one can use the theory of (rational and trigonometric) Cherednik algebras to obtain many new generalisations of their examples. This is a joint work with M. Feigin and M. Vasilev.
