The seminar is joint for the division of Analysis and Probability within the Department of Mathematics at Chalmers / GU. Its main themes include Probability Theory, Mathematical Physics, Operator Algebras, and Harmonic and Functional Analysis.
Should you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to email one of the organizers Malin Palö Forsström (palo 'at' chalmers.se), Simon Larson (larsons 'at' chalmers.se) or Spyros Petrakos (petrakos 'at' chalmers.se).
Instructions for invited speakers:
The seminar caters to a broad audience in analysis and probability. We thus urge speakers to make the first 10-15 minutes of the talk very introductory, aimed at first-year graduate students. The total time for the seminar is 50 minutes plus 10 minutes for questions.

Title: A first passage metric of the Gaussian free field
Abstract: The Gaussian free field (GFF) can be viewed as the two-dimensional time version of a Brownian motion and arises as the scaling limit of many discrete two-dimensional random models. While we typically think of the GFF as a random surface, it is actually not a random function and does not make sense pointwise, but rather takes values in a space of distributions. Nevertheless, one can still make sense of 'level sets' of the GFF. Using the GFF and its level sets, we construct a conformally invariant random metric on a planar domain, in which, heuristically, the length of a curve is given by the maximal value of the GFF on said curve. This turns out to be very natural object from the GFF perspective: the metric determines the GFF and it provides a (somewhat) canonical definition of height of the GFF. Furthermore, we expect that this metric should be the renormalised limit of the Liouville quantum gravity metric when the parameter $\xi$ is sent to infinity.

Title: Magnetic Schrödinger operators in the unit disk
Abstract: We discuss the magnetic Schrödinger operator in the disk. Its spectrum has several interesting properties and applications. The symmetry of the disk enables a rather detailed study, not possible for generic domains, but it also introduces difficulties not present for the generic domains. Several spectral questions remain to be answered. Some properties are clearly suggested by numerical calculations. We discuss a bit what is known and what we would like to know.

Title: Structure of the Robin Harmonic Measure on Rough Domains
Abstract: In this talk we will present the Robin harmonic measure and how it behaves on non smooth domains. In particular we will prove that, in contrast with respect to the Dirichlet case, Robin harmonic measure is quantitatively mutually absolutely continuous with respect to the surface measure on any Ahlfors regular set in any (quantifiably) connected domain for any elliptic operator. This stands in contrast with analogous results for the Dirichlet boundary value problem where rectifiability is necessary in order to have mutual absolute continuity. Moreover Robin harmonic measures exhibit no dimension drop that is a classical phenomenon in the Dirichlet counterpart.
