Five Points Towards a New Architecture If you're a fan of mid-century, modern architecture then you've probably heard of Le Corbusier. Inspired by form follows function in the principles of modern architecture, I designed a visual re-creation of his famous five points towards a new architecture with custom illustrations to help the narrative.
The masthead is to communicate the vintage aesthetic of the manifesto. It is to be clean, but engaging with color while using fonts as the decorative element. The clean font is a point that Corbusier makes in his manifesto concerning form follows function.
Concept: Form Follows Function. My aim was to illustrate Le Corbusier’s ideas with visual graphics to make the manifesto more palatable. The visual design is simple and follows function to stick with this philosophy. I stuck with a vintage color palate that is on brand with the mid-century modern design.
