Makira ('we', 'our', or 'us') is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and services for booking beauty and personal care services in Qatar.

  - Phone number for account creation and authentication

  - Name and profile information you provide

  - Location data when you use location-based features

  - Booking history and service preferences

  - Chat messages between you and service providers

  - Payment transaction records (payment details are processed securely by MyFatoorah)

  - Device information and app usage data for improving our services 

 - Analytics and Usage Data : To improve Makira, we use Firebase Analytics by Google to understand how the app is used. This may collect information such as app screens viewed, features used, app events, a pseudonymous app instance ID, and general device information (device model, operating system, app version, and approximate region). This data is used only to improve the app. We do not use it for advertising, do not use IDFA, do not track you across other apps or websites, and do not sell your data. Analytics data is processed by Google on our behalf and does not include payment card details or identify you personally for analytics purposes.

  - To send booking confirmations, reminders, and updates

We do not sell your personal data. We share your information only with: beauty service providers you book with (name and contact for the appointment), payment processors (MyFatoorah) for secure transactions, analytics providers (Google Firebase) that help us understand and improve how the app is used, and other service providers that help us operate our platform (e.g., hosting and notifications).

  5. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission, secure server infrastructure provided by Supabase, and server-side payment processing where sensitive payment credentials never touch your device.

  6. Your Rights

  - Access your personal data stored in our system

  - Update or correct your profile information

  - Delete your account and associated data

  - Opt out of promotional communications

  7. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we anonymize your personal information while retaining anonymized booking records for business and legal purposes.
