Welcome!
I am currently a Visiting Fellow at the University of York and a Lecturer at Leeds International Study Centre. Previously, I was a Stipendiary Fellow (Research & Teaching) in the School of Economics at the University of Edinburgh (2023–2025).
I completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Economics and Related Studies at the University of York under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Pickering. I hold a BA in Economics from Ankara University, an MSc (with Distinction) from the University of Essex, and an MRes from Queen Mary University of London.
My research applies quasi-experimental methods to questions at the intersection of political economy and public policy. I study how policies and political institutions shape individual and aggregate behaviour — across elections, legislative politics, labour markets, and household decision-making.
