Welcome!
I am currently a Visiting Fellow at the University of York. Previously, I was a Postdoctoral (Stipendiary) Fellow in the School of Economics at the University of Edinburgh (2023–2025).
I completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Economics and Related Studies at the University of York under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Pickering. I hold a BA in Economics from Ankara University, an MSc (with Distinction) from the University of Essex, and an MRes from Queen Mary University of London. My research lies at the intersection of political economy and applied microeconometrics. I am particularly interested in understanding how economic policies and political incentives interact. My current work examines elections, campaign contributions, and the broader implications of minimum wage policies.
