Mehmet Akif Yardımcı 

Welcome!

I have been a Postdoctoral (Stipendiary) Fellow in the School of Economics at the University of Edinburgh since August 2023.

I completed my Ph.D.  in the Department of Economics and Related Studies at the University of York under the supervision of Prof. Andrew Pickering. I have a strong background in Economics, with a BA from Ankara University, an MSc from the University of Essex (with distinction), and an MRes from Queen Mary University of London.  My research interests lie in political economy and applied microeconometrics. My current works focus on elections, campaign contributions, and the implications of minimum wage policies.
