Using Illustrator, I selected and analyzed fonts for use of my personal brand, AdoredBeauty. I became familiar with the different font styles along with their history, like stylized, script, and serif. When developing my brand logo, I used the tools like shape and compound path, along with creating spot colors swatches. As a communications professional passionate about branding, the ability to create a cohesive branding package with consistent fonts and color schemes tailored to client needs is highly valued and appreciated.
Here, I selected three fonts and colors relevant to my brand identity. This web-friendly sample helped me narrow down what font styles are the most appropriate. While I did not end up using any of these fonts, I may use the first one (BC Monument 3) in future projects because of its clean, luxurious aesthetic. In my future endeavors, creating samples like this maximizes creativity and gives clients variety in selection. It also reduces the need for revisions later down the line.
I created a K-Only and color logo for AdoredBeauty's branding package. I manipulated simple tools like shape and compound pathing to "punch through" the heart shape, resulting in a simple, visually-pleasing logo. Whether used for web or print, my use of 2 spot colors ensures consistency. I can envision employers valuing these traits of simplicity and consistency.
