The La Salle Medal

This medal was found among the belongings of the widow of James O'Donovan. There is no family history associated with this item, and no information about it was known among the La Salle personnel I asked about it. It seems to be a parting gift to a beloved professor as he took leave to join the Army. To decode the inscription on the back, The 389th is the Army Reserve unit he served with; P.M.S. & T. stands for Professor of Military Science and Tactics. The years listed were the years O'Donovan was employed as a teacher at La Salle.
