All abstracts will be reviewed in accordance with the following criteria すべての要旨は、以下の審査基準に基づいて審査されます :
1. Relevance to Japan Studies 日本関連研究であること
Submissions must demonstrate a clear connection to Japan Studies and must be consistent with the aims and scope of this academic society. 本学会の趣旨に照らし、日本研究（Japan Studies）と関連する研究であること。
2. Relevance to the Conference Subtitle 副題との関連性が明確であること
The abstract must clearly articulate the theoretical and/or practical relevance of the proposed study to the conference subtitle, “Critical Pedagogy.” 副題「Critical Pedagogy」との理論的・実践的関連が、要旨から明確に読み取れること。
3. Fields Excluded from Review 対象外となる研究分野
The following categories of research fall outside the scope of this conference and will not be considered for review 以下に該当する研究は、本学会の趣旨に合致しないため審査対象外とする:
Studies limited exclusively to the analysis of Japanese vocabulary or grammar (i.e., pure linguistics) 日本語の語彙・文法の分析のみに限定された研究（純粋言語学）
Research in the natural sciences that does not engage with Japan-related issues, including society, culture, history, politics, economics, or related areas 日本社会・文化・歴史・政治・経済等に関わらない自然科学分野の研究
4. Research Problem and Significance (Motivation) 問題設定・意義（Motivation)
The abstract must present a clearly defined research problem and indicate its significance by establishing an appropriate connection to relevant background, whether in existing scholarship or in practical issues arising from the field. 課題設定が明確であり、背景（先行研究または現場課題）との接続が示されていること。
5. Logical Coherence and Methodological Soundness 論理性・方法の妥当性（Logic / Soundness）
The abstract must demonstrate internal coherence among the research purpose, research questions, methodology, and analysis (or practical procedures). It should also provide a sufficiently clear outline of the research subjects, data, and/or activities involved. 目的→問い→方法→分析（または実践手順）が一貫しており、対象・手続き（データ／活動）の概略が要旨から把握できること。
6. Originality and Contribution 独創性・新規性（Originality）
The submission must demonstrate originality in its perspective, conceptual framework, supporting evidence (including data, cases, or arguments), and/or practical design, and should offer a meaningful new insight or proposal relevant to the field. 観点／枠組み／根拠（データ・事例・論拠）／実践設計に、新しい視点または提案が認められること。
