Little League Baseball & Softball

The District is looking for motivated volunteers to assist with all the behind the scenes activities that get all the players through Regular Season and Tournament Season activities.  Below are the positions available, some are filled and some still need to be filled.  If you're a motivated volunteer who doesn't mind a lot of behind-the-scenes activities, reach out and we will get you on the team!

DA (District Administrator) - Handles EVERYTHING! Most activities center around District Tournament time, ensuring all Leagues are ready to participate and are in compliance with all Little League International regulations.  The DA is also the main contact person for Little league International, specifically the Eastern Region Headquarters in Bristol, CT.  Position currently filled, but will be OPEN afyter 2027.

ADA (Assistant District Administrator): Helps the DA to be sure all the things are being done efficiently, available to assist with affidavits, maps, confirming signatures etc for tournaments. Assisting at potential sites for hosting tournaments. Working with DA and UIC(s) on both softball and baseball to create fun, safe and knowledgeable seasons for all. Position currently filled.

ADA Softball: Same as above but softball focused, especially during post season and Tournament Play. Position is OPEN

ADA Baseball: Same as above but baseball focused, especially during post season and Tournament Play. Position is OPEN

Secretary: responsible for taking notes/creating minutes and agendas for meetings. Setting up reminders of important calendared events for a successful season/post season. Position currently filled.

UIC Baseball (Umpire In Chief) - rules interpreter for the district; updating leagues on new rules/rule changes; scheduling training opportunities; schedule umpires for tournament games. Position currently filled.

UIC Softball (Umpire In Chief): rules interpreter for the district; updating leagues on new rules/rule changes; scheduling training opportunities; schedule umpires for tournament games. Position currently OPEN.

District Safety Officer: lead our leagues who may have questions regarding ASAP plans (A Safety Awareness Program), following up with league field conditions, making sure fields are LL approved etc. Position currently filled.
