Public Information (PI) Committee News
This fall the Maine Chapter participated in three community events:
Recovery Palooza, Bangor, Maine
Maine Chapter National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Maine Chapter Conference, Rockport, Maine
Senior Health Expo, Brunswick, Maine
We are grateful for the twelve FA fellows who volunteered their time to staff the FA Booths and the 7th tradition donations from individuals and meetings that allowed the Chapter to register and provide literature to attendees at the events.
In total we had 222 conversations with people who stopped by the booths to learn more about FA, and dispersed 790 pieces of FA literature. We also had four requests for follow up information.

Tool For Today
SERVICE
We do service by staying abstinent. Abstinence gives us freedom from compulsion and obsession with food so that we can be available to others. Any service that reaches a fellow sufferer adds to the quality of our own recovery. We are promised a life of sane and happy usefulness as a result of working the Twelve Steps. Service fulfills that promise.
