Public Information (PI) Committee News
This fall the Maine Chapter participated in three community events:
Recovery Palooza, Bangor, Maine
Maine Chapter National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Maine Chapter Conference, Rockport, Maine
Senior Health Expo, Brunswick, Maine
We are grateful for the twelve FA fellows who volunteered their time to staff the FA Booths and the 7th tradition donations from individuals and meetings that allowed the Chapter to register and provide literature to attendees at the events.
In total we had 222 conversations with people who stopped by the booths to learn more about FA, and dispersed 790 pieces of FA literature. We also had four requests for follow up information.
Call Nanci at 207.780.1681 for more information or to help with any future events.
Blessings,
Nanci A.

Tool For Today
Food addiction is a disease of negativity. Our contented abstinence depends on our willingness to replace negative thoughts and feelings with thankful ones. In the past, we thought of gratitude as a feeling, but in FA, we practice it as an action.
