Abigail is a theatre director and trauma-informed yoga instructor based in Kansas City, land of the the Osage, Kaw, Missouria, Shawnee and Wyandot peoples. She makes theatre that amplifies underheard voices and is especially passionate about stories that center the lived experiences of queer and BIPOC women and non-binary folx. She is a member of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab as well as Directors Lab Chicago, an alumna of Creative Capital, and a graduate of both Southwestern University and the National Theatre Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center. While living in Texas, she co-founded Goat Song Theatre Collective and worked with theatre companies throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, including WaterTower Theatre, Undermain Theatre, Kitchen Dog Theater, Shakespeare Dallas, TRIBE, House Party Theatre, Shakespeare in the Bar, and New Grove Creative. Her work includes partnerships with The Dallas Museum of Art, The Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture, and Arts Mission Oak Cliff and has been featured in festivals including Whim Productions' Alphabet Soup Festival (2023); Kitchen Dog Theater’s Annual New Works Festival (2015, 2016, and 2017); WaterTower Theatre's 24hr Play Festival (2015) and Out of the Loop Fringe Festival (2015); the 2016 1-Minute Play Festival; and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (2017).
She is slated to direct Concord Floral at the University of Missouri-Kansas City (Fall 2023) and Last Summer at Bluefish Cove with Whim Productions (Spring 2024).
