Learning American Mahjong is an enjoyable endeavor when taught at the correct pace building up to a complete understanding of the Hands & Rules Card. This beginning class will teach you the basics of this fascinating game, including how to play well.
Long term friendships are forged through the fun activity of American Mahjong and you will build mental acuity as well.
Four students minimum. (Not including me.)
Cost is $180 per student for the first two hours of class Follow up beginning games at $20 each are absolutely recommended. Eight hours recommended.
Hands & Rules card is $14 (std) or $15 (lg print) from me. Or, it can be purchased from National Mah Jongg League, Inc. directly. nationalmahjonggleague.org
Class & card to be paid in advance, in order to reserve a space. Pay the $14 or $15 + $180 deposit to Venmo @MM-McGrath security code is 7383.
Attendance is mandatory as others are depending on you in this 4-person game :) and that is why there are no refunds, unless the class is cancelled.

After taking the Beginning Basics Class or if you know the tiles, the NMJL card and the Charleston we can go beyond the basics of American Mahjong; it's time to play. We'll continue to deepen our relationships and community while sharpening our mental acuity.
