Synopsis:

A man walks on stage and sings a simple yet sincere song: he walks alone, smokes a cigarette, repeating his gestures and thoughts.
The audience, startled by this raw truth, reacts by throwing tomatoes.
With humor and irony, the character takes control: “Enough, stop throwing at me, I’ve stopped!”
This short explores the tension between personal authenticity and collective judgment, and how humor can reconcile truth and performance.

Director Statement:   

This musical animation was born from the idea that telling the truth can disturb, even when it is simple and mundane.
The character moves, sings about his life, smokes his cigarette — and faces the audience’s rejection.
The tomato scene symbolizes society’s refusal to accept raw reality.Yet the character regains control with humor and irony: he puts out the cigarette and addresses the audience, asserting his freedom and honesty.
This short is a tribute to those who dare to stay true to themselves, even in the face of criticism, showing that truth, even when unsettling, can become a game, a performance, and an act of courage.Mohamed Ait Hamou
