Looking back on my 25 wonderful days in the Philippines, I can truly say it has been a roller coaster of emotions, experiences, and growth. Every day brought something new, and I feel so fortunate for everything I’ve gained during my time here. The most meaningful part was my experience as a teacher intern, where I was able to immerse myself in the field of education, especially for my major, special education. It was such an enriching opportunity to learn from a different country with a unique curriculum and culture. The insights I’ve gained are invaluable, and they’ve helped me grow both professionally and personally.
But beyond the lessons in education, the people I’ve met here have made this experience truly unforgettable. The warmth, kindness, and support I received from everyone have made me feel so welcomed, feel like at my own home. NUEST has become like a second family to me, and I’ll always cherish the bonds and friendships I’ve formed here. I remember saying during my farewell speech that I’ve learned so much from both the aspects that aligned with my SEA teacher goals and the sense of family that I’ve found. I’ll forever be grateful for this experience, and I’ll carry the lessons and memories with me as I continue on my journey. See you when I see you, NUEST family.
For me, the suggestions that maybe I could say that it about preparation for departure and a more structured task output from the beginning.
