Donate children's toys to Ms. Watkins's and Ms. Glass's rooms in A12 and C2!

All donations will be given to Roy's Kids Toy Drive, where they will be distributed to children around Shreveport so they can have presents for this year's Christmas!

Hurricane ida relief donation drive

Hundreds of thousands of families have lost their homes, communities, and family members to Hurricane Ida. Our friends and family in southern Louisiana need your help to build the community back up.

Please donate the following items:

• dental care products, clean clothes, canned foods, children's games and toys, blankets, and other essential items.

Where: Drop off donations in the Caddo Magnet High School PAC Foyer.

When: Drop off donations BEFORE September 10.

All donations will be transported to Arthur Circle Elementary School, where they will then be processed by the United Way of Northwest Louisiana. If you or a loved one has been displaced or affected by Hurricane Ida, please check out this document for more resources.

The people's promise book drive

The People's Promise is moving into a new office location in the upcoming months. They are planning to create a community library for students of all backgrounds to come in and find their love of reading! We need books of all genres to provide The People's Promise community library with a diverse selection.

How to donate: Drop books off in Mrs. Watkins's room (A-12). Students will receive 1 service hour for every 5 books donated (capped at 3 service hours.) There is no limit to what you can donate!

When: drop off books whenever you can, so long as it does not interfere with your class time. The last day to donate books is September 7.
