“4 the GIRLS Challenger” Tournament Policies & Rules

USA Softball rules apply unless stated otherwise.

In the event of a rainout, prorated reimbursement will be issued as soon as possible.  Supplies was purchased for the tournament, therefore a full refund is unable to take place.  The tournament staff will do their best to get as much money as possible back to the teams.  No refund will be issued if teams participated in two games or more.

Pool games official scorekeeper will be home team’s scorekeeper.  These games do not have any significance outside of development “for the girls.”  Please enjoy the games for what they are – an avenue to get your girls more reps without the pressure of bracket play.

Bracket games will have an official scorekeeper provided by the tournament.  Scoreboards will be used for bracket games only.  This helps us keep the tournament affordable.  Official scorekeepers will report the score to the bracket keeper.  Please call 406.661.0067 if you feel the score was recorded incorrectly.  All brackets will be posted within the main concession stand area.

Pool Games: START ON FRIDAY!  They are drop dead, 70mins.  You may bat the entire lineup.  No run-rule in effect.  Please use pool games as practice games to get your team warmed up for double-elimination bracket play.  When your game is finished, please clear your dugout quickly to allow the next game to start as soon as possible.  We encourage games to start early when possible.  Thank you for your cooperation to keep our tournament schedule on time.

10U ONLY:  6 run limit per inning.  This is to help develop our newest girls in the game.  Championship game this does not apply.

You may bat ALL in pool play.  Your last out may be the courtesy runner for the pitcher or catcher in pool play.

Bracket Games: finish the inning, 70mins for 10U; 75 mins for 12u, 14u, highschool divisions.  Run rule in effect: 12 after 3, 10 after 4, & 8 after 5. 

If you are not the first game of the morning, please warm up behind the temporary fence on the field in which you will play.

USA Softball rules for lineup and courtesy runners used for bracket.  You may bat up to 10 using an EP.

Umpires: Umpires are just as much a part of the game of softball as the girls, coaches, or the fans.  Without them we DO NOT have games to give these girls.  Please understand that umpiring may be the hardest position this wonderful game holds.  We expect parents, coaches, and players to be fully respectful to ALL of our officials.  If you have a complaint, please bring it to the Tournament Director, Stacy Dunn, to be discussed.  Stacy will then discuss the matter with the Umpire In Charge, Tom Bonner.  Please understand that the umpires WILL miss calls, strikes, and balls.  It’s part of the game.  Disrespect to an official could lead to an ejection out of the tournament.  Head Coaches, you are responsible for your parents.  Please keep them under control.

Tournament Entry Fee: $5/ day or $10/ 3 days. 8 years old and under are free. 2 coaches per team are free.  Tournament Sponsors are free.
