Yes, when you reach out for a phone consultation, I will be happy to help you decide if psychotherapy may be helpful to you.
During the first session, if you have not already done so, you will be asked to complete some paperwork and we will discuss logistics like scheduling, process, and payment. We will also spend time talking about what is causing you difficulty and what you are hoping to gain from therapy. It is the beginning of a new relationship between you and I.
I am an out-of-network provider with most insurance companies. I will be happy to provide you with a comprehensive monthly statement so that you can submit the claims to your insurance company for reimbursement.
Payment is expected at the time of each session unless a different arrangement has been agreed upon.

After the first session, we will continue to establish a positive therapeutic relationship. Together we will explore, discuss and problem-solve your presenting issues.

If after three sessions or so, you do not feel like I am a good fit for you, I encourage you to let me know so that we can discuss your concerns. If you would like a referral to another therapist, I will be happy to provide one to you.
