I have a variety of research interests and there are many opportunities to conduct research with me in different areas and using different methods. My primary focus is generally in understanding feedbacks between tectonics, surface processes, and basin evolution in a variety of tectonic settings. In the course of my research I use thermochronology, numerical modeling, and mapping. Some of my current research interests are:
Tectonics and topography of the Basin and Range Province, USA.
Time-temperature, subsidence, and structural evolution of the Appalachian foreland basin.
Developing coupled flexural and thermal subsidence models for application to poly-phase basins.
Geologic mapping in the Piedmont
Feedbacks between tectonics, surface processes, and basin development in the Pyrenees Mountains
Early tectonic evolution, salt tectonics, and subsidence of the Gulf of Mexico Basin.
