MMA Grant Guidelines
A grant request should fall under at least one of the following criteria and directly impact visual and performing arts programs: Enhance existing curriculum or instruction, including extracurricular programs Expand educational experiences of students Incorporate innovative teaching or learning methods Provide support for teachers to enhance their teaching
Items that generally fall outside of the MMA scope: Instruments necessary to meet curricular programming needs (e.g., recorders for third graders) Grant requests as a last minute “fix”
MMA encourages grants that: Benefit a large number of students at once Encourage collaboration / partnering across teachers / departments / schools Pilot programs that can be expanded or replicated if successful Bring the arts alive in our schools and the greater Madison community
