Common Questions Asked & Answered!
Do I need to be a rancher to join?
No, you DO NOT need to be a rancher or in the agriculture industry to join. If you support the beef industry, you qualify to be a member.
Is meeting attendance required to maintain membership?
Even though we encourage members to make meetings, we understand that our meeting times may conflict, but that does not mean you cannot be a member of our unit.
Is membership only for adults?
We have two types of membership: General and Junior membership. We currently have General and Junior members enrolled in the unit and would love to add more!
What does MCCW do for the community?
Every year, the MCCW raises money for agriculture scholarships for Madera County Seniors pursuing degrees in agriculture. In addition, we also attended community events to promote the beef industry and participate in other community service opportunities.
What are the benefits of joining MCCW?
You get to join a group of individuals passionate about beef and educating the general public about the importance of the beef industry. In addition to making new friends, of course, you also get involved in community service opportunities and positively impact the Madera County community. Additionally, Junior members can earn community service hours, which can be used on resumes and when applying for scholarships. You also get the chance to take on leadership roles and become an advocate for the beef industry! But these are only a few benefits of being a MCCW Member.
