We are the Madera County Cattlewomen, a non-profit organization that aims to promote and educate consumers about the beef cattle industry. The Madera County Cattlewomen was established in 1952 and we celebrated our 70th anniversary in 2022. We pride ourselves on supporting youth in the agriculture industry within Madera County through our beef promotion activities and agriculture scholarship program. Some of our beef promotion activities involve hosting a free coloring contest exhibit at the local county fairs. We also support commercial beef and carcass classes at local fairs to recognize youth in the beef industry. We also support opportunities for 4H and Future Farmers of America groups. In addition, we attend the Madera County 4H favorite foods days and serve as judges for the beef dish competition. In addition to benefiting our youth, we inform consumers about the significance of the beef cattle industry through community involvement. Our scholarship program is open to all high school seniors who reside in Madera County and are pursuing a degree in agriculture-related fields.
Madera County is located in the heart of the Central Valley. There is a variety of commodities available within the Madera County including the beef cattle industry. The Madera County Cattlewomen are honored to continue the sustainability of the beef industry within our county and contribute to the beef industry in its entirety.
