Crush 5-0 at the USA Preps Washington Play for Price
Crush finished second out of 29 teams in their division of the round-robin tournament. Offensive highlights included 3 home runs, 5 doubles, 1 triple, 28 singles and 11 stolen bases; and pitching highlights included 43 strikeouts, 1.12 ERA and only 11 hits allowed.
Crush 6-0 WIN the D-BAT Fall Classic
Coeur d’Alene Crush 16U won the D-BAT Fall Classic championship last weekend in Pasco, Wash., going 6-0 and outscoring their opponents 91-8. Offensive highlights: 11 home runs, 15 doubles and 62 singles. Pitching: 57 strikeouts, 1.82 ERA, only 13 hits allowed. The Crush will be back this weekend at the USA Preps WA Play for Price tourney in the Tri-Cities.
"Sophomore Madeline Peterson struck out nine in the opener, and fanned seven in 2.1 innings in the nightcap, as the visiting Lake City Timberwolves swept the Post Falls Trojans 13-4 and 20-9 in Inland Empire League play Saturday.
Peterson also went 3 for 5 and drove in four runs in the second game for Lake City (10-4-1, 8-1 IEL).
“Madeline Peterson has been a force for us in the circle all season long and today was no exception,” Lake City coach Jordyn Hensley said. “She came out strong today and set the tone in game one in the circle.”
