Madeline Peterson - 2027

I have been playing softball since I was five years old, and it has always been my passion. I began playing competitive travel softball at age nine and have been with the same team ever since, which has helped shape my love for the game and the value I place on teamwork and commitment.

At Lake City High School (Idaho 6A), I was one of only two freshmen to make the varsity team, starting at first base and batting fifth in the lineup. During my sophomore season, I began the year as the second pitcher behind a senior but quickly earned the starting role based on my performance, recording over 100 strikeouts in eighteen games.

I take pride in being a positive leader and teammate. I lead by example on the field and work to encourage and support my teammates in every game and practice.

Growing up, I played multiple sports including cross country, swimming, basketball, volleyball, and softball. I continue to play high school volleyball, and being a multi-sport athlete has helped develop my competitiveness, athleticism, and mental toughness.

Academics are very important to me, and I work hard to balance my schoolwork with athletics. I am excited to continue challenging myself in the classroom while pursuing my goal of playing softball at the collegiate level.

I am looking for a competitive college program where I can contribute on the field, grow as a teammate, and pursue a strong academic degree.
