QRscan allows users to scan QR codes and barcodes. For certain barcodes, the app may fetch publicly available product information using third-party product lookup APIs.

QRscan does not collect, store, or sell any personal user data.
The app only accesses information necessary to perform QR and barcode scanning and, when applicable, retrieve product details related to scanned barcodes.

We do not create user profiles or track user behavior.
QRscan uses your device’s camera solely to scan QR codes and barcodes when you choose to do so.
Scanned codes are processed locally on your device.
QR codes may contain URLs or text, which are handled only as instructed by the user.
When you scan certain barcodes, QRscan may send the barcode number only to a third-party product information API in order to retrieve publicly available product details (such as product name, brand, or category).
No personal data is sent with these requests.
Barcode lookups are performed only at the user’s request and are not stored by QRscan.
The APIs used operate under their own privacy policies and handle only non-personal, product-related data.
QRscan does not collect analytics data, crash logs, or usage statistics.
No tracking or monitoring of user activity occurs.
QRscan may use third-party APIs solely for the purpose of retrieving product information related to scanned barcodes.
These services receive only the barcode value and do not receive any personal or identifiable user information.

QRscan is designed to minimize data exposure.
Scanning occurs locally on your device.
Only barcode values are transmitted when a product lookup is requested.

We rely on system-level security protections provided by your operating system.
QRscan does not store any scanned codes, personal data, or product lookup results.
All information is processed temporarily and discarded immediately after use.
QRscan does not knowingly collect personal information from users of any age, including children under 13.
The app is safe for general audiences.
