Mad Maile

Mad Maile is an independent jewelry and metalwork studio creating handcrafted chainmail and soldered jewelry inspired by gothic aesthetics, historic craftsmanship, coastal landscapes, and alternative culture. 

Founded from a passion for making and a deep appreciation for handmade objects, the business began at local punk shows and community events, where jewelry was sold directly from folding tables surrounded by live music, creativity, and chaos. What started as a small side project has grown into a full-time creative practice built on craftsmanship, authenticity, and connection. 

Each piece is made by hand using traditional techniques and carefully selected materials, including chainmail, crystals, shells, and metal components. Drawing inspiration from Renaissance ornamentation, historic armor and adornment, and the natural forms found along the coast, the work combines strength and delicacy, history and self-expression. 

In an age of mass production and disposable goods, Mad Maile is committed to creating pieces that are thoughtfully made, built to last, and rich with character. Every design reflects a belief in the value of skilled craftsmanship and the importance of supporting handmade work.
