The MACRO Approach looks at the big picture when it comes to effective career readiness training and development of the workforce. MACRO supports the community of Career Readiness Organizations through cross-sector collaboration and connection to supportive resources in order to foster a more holistic development of the workforce.
To not just train the workforce to obtain initial employment, but to be able to retain that employment, thrive in society, and achieve economic stability.

(a) - MACRO Partners are defined as any entity or organization attending All-Partner meetings or participating in any other function of the MACRO Community.
(a) - MACRO will be convened and sustained by a democratically elected Board of Directors. There will be a singular Board Chair who will coordinate regular meetings with eight Co-Chairs in order to convene and maintain the Metro Alliance of Career Readiness Organizations.
(b) - The Board Chair will be elected to a 3-Year term and may only run for re-election once.
(c) - The Board Co-Chairs will be elected to 2-Year terms and may run for re-election a maximum of two times. The elections of the Co-Chairs will be staggered so that there are four Co-Chair elections each year.
(a) - For the Inaugural 2026 calendar year of the MACRO Community there will be an initial election occurring in December 2025 of the Board Chair and the following four Co-Chairs:
Co-Chair: All-Partner Meetings
Co-Chair: Website & Social Media
Co-Chair: Finance & Financial Literacy Education
Co-Chair: Union Relations & Worker Rights Education
(b) - During the final All-Partner meeting of the 2026 calendar year of the MACRO Community the final four Co-Chairs will be elected.
Co-Chair: All-Partner Meetings
Co-Chair: Mental Health Education
Co-Chair: Communications & Soft Skills Education
Co-Chair: MACRO Calendar & Employer Relations
(c) - Subsequent elections will be held at the final Quarterly All-Partner meeting of the calendar year, or at the next possible Quarterly All-Partner for interim-elections.
(a) - In the event that a Co-Chair is unable to complete their term, then an interim election will be held at the next possible Quarterly All-Partner Meeting. Completion of the interim term will not count against term limits.
(b) - In the event that the Board Chair is unable to complete their term, then the eight Co-Chairs will vote to elect one of the sitting Co-Chairs as an emergency Board Chair until a interim election can be held at the next possible All-Partner Meeting. Completion of the interim term will not count against term limits.
(c) - Elections will be tallied by physical paper ballot with no identifying information of the Partner casting the ballot.
(d) - Partners running unopposed for Board Chair or a Co-Chair position do not require a paper ballot election be held and can simply be elected by a simple "Yay" or "Nay" audible vote of the MACRO Partners present at the Quarterly All-Partner Meeting which the election is taking place.
(e) - In the event of a tied race, the current sitting Board will cast anonymous ballots to attempt to break the tie. If there remains a tie after the Board Run-Off, then the sitting Board Chair will break the tie. If the sitting Board Chair is in the midst of their term ending, then the newly elected Board Chair will break the tie.
(a) - Sitting Board members may be removed from their position by a 3/4s majority vote of the full Board excluding the Board Position being voted on. Removal of a Board member should be a last resort measure. Acceptable reasons for removing a board position include, but are not limited to:
Failure to execute minimum required work.
Stealing or embezzling from the MACRO Community.
Inappropriate behavior such as sexual harassment.
Behavior that otherwise reflects poorly upon the MACRO Community.
(b) - In the event that a board member is removed, then the process for holding an interim election for that specific Board position will be followed.

The Co-Chair: MACRO Calendar will conduct outreach to Partners requesting they provide information on their events.
(a) - Starting with the election of the Co-Chair: MACRO Calendar & Employer Relations position in 2027, the Employer Relations Committee will be established as a Permanent Action Committee. This committee will be tasked in brainstorming a MACRO Sector Partnership event designed to connect employers with MACRO Sector Partnership Partners.
(b) - Once an event is planned, launched, and can be sustained, this section of the MACRO Charter will be amended to incorporate this event as a permanent responsibility of the MACRO Sector Partnership.
